How to Start a Healthy Lifestyle You Won’t Need a Break From

Today's blog is for people wanting to make more out of life and if you read until the end, you will gain specific action steps to live life to its fullest extent.

At some point, we all get the feeling that “there must be more to life than being born, going to school, family, and then death. So today I'm going to share the 9 things I wish I knew in my 20s to get the most out of life that you can use too. I wrote my first-ever blog article about this topic...

Remember the bat man movie, where the only difference between a hero and a villain is the decision they make after experiencing childhood pain/adversity/trauma and how they use power. When I realized there was more to life than to simply exist and then eventually dying, I made it into “I want to design a life I don’t need a break from and help others do the same” while making a living.”

This is also why productivity is bullshit, (you don’t need more productivity apps or productivity planners, because the real secret lies in doing less while doing it very well, and not more. That’s how you can enjoy the little time we have here while fulfilling your purpose.

If you want to unlock your life’s fullest potential, answer this question ....When you experienced trauma/pain as a child or even as a teen, what decisions did you make about life and people?

As a helpful framework, to get a better understanding of yourself and your aspirations, I found the seven areas of life and created a list of them, which includes:

  1. Physical health

  2. Mental and spiritual health

  3. Personal growth

  4. Finances/Resources

  5. Relationships

  6. Contribution to society

  7. Time/career

Most lists that I saw and the ones that I created can be broken down into two major categories; Health and Wealth.

Think about it... when people get asked what they would want the most in life what do you think they usually say? They say that their health is lacking and they wish they prioritized it more.

So let's break down how to achieve good HEALTH, but before we do that, there is a piece of the puzzle I found that not a lot of people talk about; when it comes to achieving both health and wealth... You see, both come down to your daily habits. If we take a look at Pareto’s principle, 20% of your success comes from knowledge or a blueprint and 80% of your success comes from your behavior. So to really achieve elite health, we need to ask ourselves, what drives human behavior?

So let's look at the 6 primal needs that drive human behavior. I got this from Tony Robbins.

You really don’t need monk-like discipline to win, you just need to be honest with yourself about how these 6 needs drive your behavior and then change your environment accordingly. So now that you know how to achieve the 80% that are responsible for your success, let’s look at the remaining 20% that will allow you to truly achieve health and wealth.

After talking to and coaching hundreds of people, the desires I have come across in the area of health can be divided into 3 categories -

  1. Look good,

  2. Feel great,

  3. Perform at a high level mentally & physically).

On the health side, what affects how we look, feel, and perform? Let's look at it more holistically...

  1. Alignment with nature (Movement, water, sun, fresh air, food, laughter, and sleep)

  2. Consumption (hear, see, etc) as it impacts our self-image and belief system

  3. Alignment with natural law (physics, gravity, rip and saw)

Most people I talk to in their gut know what to do for the most part, maybe not in detail but on a fundamental level, but still don’t do it because their brains are messed up. There is so much noise (addictions, marketing, even considering 7 deadly sins on a non-religious level... pride, envy, anger, sloth, greed, gluttony, lust. Marketers know this and take advantage of it to sell us things we don’t need with promises we don’t get)

So we have to cut the noise and reset + rewire not the brain but the second brain... the gut. If you want a more visual break down of this with even more insight then check out me latest YouTube video on this!
